“Come To Your Senses” is my first art installation, but it’s more of an action. You can do it any time if you like. You just put down your phone, then take a moment for each of your senses.

A few weeks ago I signed up for a last minute opening in a @jorybrigham_design stool class and drove out to California a couple days later. 
.
Jory welcomed me in the dark and let me park my truck to camp by his shop between huge salvaged walnut tree
This stool is my sweet spot as a maker and designer. Riding the line between challenge and ability that naturally clarifies focus.

When this bastogne walnut slab arrived in the mail from @gobywalnut I walked circles around it smiling ear to ear for about fifteen minutes.

The steel base was a fun challenge - computer renderings, laser cut components, custom welding fixtures, and
Woven cord with smooth cherry balance each other well. I made this spec piece to try out danish cord. Compared to the literal thousands of lacrosse sticks I’ve strung, the cord was a relatively simple pattern.
